Early showing of /STAR TREK/ in IMAX was awesome.

So, on April twenty-fourth two-thousand-and-nine, at seven PM EST, I got to see STAR TREK in IMAX. It was the most FANTASTIC vision of any science fiction I have laid my eyes upon. I may not be impartial, as a fan of the franchise, But I HIGHLY recommend that you go see the film on May 8th. I never expected them to be able to pull of something so visually stunning, and have such a well constructed plot in my life. It almost didn't seem like star trek at first. I'll try not to give any spoilers, but... It starts a chain of events that brings to light the origins for a new generation--less Shakespeare In Space--remaking Star Trek into something not nerdy or taboo, but fresh and thrilling! Like the theatrical poster says, The Future Begins!

Step One: "Not doing anything is much better than making a heap of crap."
Step Seven: Have you ever bumped into someone random and sworn to have known them from somewhere
Step Twelve: Apparently I'm one of the 2% of devian-TART users that owns a pet Reptile.
Step Sixty-ten: 1 - 7 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 7 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 4 - 7 - 6 - Charlie - 3 - 2 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 3 - Tango - 7 - 3 - 2 - Victor - 7 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 7 - 8 - 8 - 8 - 7 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 7 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 3 - 7 - 6 - Lock.
Step Forty-seven: Why the hell must climactic change ravage us so slowly? We need a sudden climactic catastrophe. As I see it, were doomed, so why not put that up in some neon lights; Camera-flash it into peoples' heads that this isn't some gradual problem that someone else down the line will have to take care of. The war is upon us, and like a thousand other commanders on a thousand other battlefields, we wait for the dawn. Unfortunately, we should be making a preemptive strike.

I feel it... I have mysteriously garnered the inspiration to begin submitting again! It is a wonderful feeling... A feeling like I might actually go somewhere with this motivation...
Today is a good day. Thursdays always are... I work from ten till two thirty. I get paid today too, which means that I will have obtained currency to procure rare and fanciful animals or delicious food goods with. Fuck currency.

Yesterday, one of the guppies which resided in the aquarium which rest on a dresser which stands on the floor of the room I inhabit gave birth to ten Fries. another female is due anytime now as well. Perhaps some of them will survive to adulthood and be beautiful and splendorous. In the spring I can release them into Slater Pond and watch them grow to enormous sizes... Exciting stuff!

Guppies are such elegant animals...

:iconwtfisthisplz:
On a different note, I need to pawn off my useless possessions. The acquisition of material goods with no practical value makes them all the more of an anchor. This ship is ready to sail again, and the less I own the smoother the wake will be. Don't want to break the water, Y'know? If you know me " " and you want anything of mine, simply ask for it. If I have no use for it, it is yours.

Friday, my friend Rachel and I will try a little photo shoot. hehe
Thank you, Andrew for motivation.

Today was quite a day. I got one hour of sleep, between 3AM and 5AM. After that I was too busy pulling shit together to remember to call the two people that played such a crucial role to the day itself. At 6:30AM-ish I was whisked away to the Peter Pan bus terminal in providence. I obtained a $40 round rip ticket. Needless to say, had I not taken the bus, I likely would have died. At 7:30, we were en route to Boston. Half way there the bus loses antifreeze, and it took another 30 minutes for a replacement bus. Joy. When I finally arrived at the Northwest terminal, I was taken by surprise by the unnecessarily voluminous signs and by the over all scale of the terminal. It felt like I had to walk forever to go such a short distance. My plane took off as planed, and apparently shortly afterward, the north east was hit with tempests... karma balancing out? Possibly. When I got to Detroit, I had two hours to burn, so i walked up and down the concourse, then sat down and read AP magazine. After that was done, A redhead lad popped up and I ogled him for the remaining 25 minutes... the flight to Madison was quite turbulent. after nabbing my luggage, My dad & I headed off to get FOOD. We nom-nom-nommed on Taco Bell, then we went to the grocery and nabbed some Japanese soups and a Canary Mellon. When I got home I put every effort into making the computer work again, and succeeded. Leo popped by and we headed down to the water where he, I and two accomplices frolicked in the glory of the Wisconsin night. I saw all of the cosmos for the first time in a long while. I thought that it disappeared, or that I was going blind. There was an eerie orange moon and mist over the water, and you could hear fish leaping out of the water.... so tranquil. Then some douche bag sheriff sees us frolicking and decides to question us. "YOU GUYS FISHIN' TONIGHT?!" Is this world really so corrupted where every person enjoying the freedom of the night must be suspected of illegal activity?! It was exciting to know just how inane the suspicion was. LOL the lights were quite painful. After the mood was killed, we drove around and listened to music then decided to call it a night.

My feet hurt now... probably from sitting too much...

Hrm... on day five, I spent quite a bit of time in the sun at Devil's lake. Warm & windy.

Today was rather productive? I suppose? I slept till about 10:10 and then I got some shopping done. OK, it wasn't that productive... However I did manage to get three games of bowling in. $2.50 for a game or something like that. pretty cheap! I went with Leo & Nacs... Golly Nacs is a fuzzy guy. I also got a little belly dance from Leo... Hehe...
I wonder what Leo will think of all the music I gave him...?

HOORAY! So I was hauled out of bed at 5:30AM. It was exhilarating! We traveled northwest for who knows how long to find the god damn place, but we arrived there and gosh was it relaxing. we traveled for about four hours on the river. there were all sorts of interesting bits of wildlife there. The geology of the place is fascinating. After twelve house of river adventure, I arrived home and did some cleaning and Star Trek. I got a call from Jimmy at 3AM the night before and plans were set into motion. So he called me that day and we decided on the plans to go see Batman: The Dark Knight. It was splendid! I want with Jimmy, Brice [a new face to me], and Leo my darling! [on the way to pick up Leo two deer narrowly escaped death by car.] Apparently Nick has my goods?! Oh dear! I cant wait to see just what it is! After they were all gone, I spent some intimate time with Jimmy in an attempt to better understand him. Needless to say, I got to bed at 4AM. MOAR TO COME TONIGHT! Whoo.

Today was quite interesting to say the least... I was trapped in REM sleep till noon time. When I awoke I spent he next hour and a half reading the Vampire Hunter D books I had brought: A delectable series. I proceeded to shower and dress and then I cut up my delectable Canary Melon. It reminds me of cantaloupe. Not a bad lunch... Japanese White Miso Soup and some melon... Enough to invigorate me enough me to update this journal... all the whilst listening to my last.FM radio... nifty application. News arose that we were getting a visitor.Cole. He is almost 3/4th a meeter tall now... and he speaks rudimentary English too. hehe I drove a stick shift Mini Cooper over to get him, but was that interesting! First time for everything. After we got home with him, we had several racks of BBQ ribs.... mmm Then Leo had the brilliant idea that I should call Brittany so she could come get me and we could all watch Tim Burton's "Ed Wood;" EPIC Fail. But she did end up picking me up amazingly, just as the heat lightning was rolling in... and we took the "shortcut" to Leo's which took about 20 minutes longer than it had to. The film is a work of biographically comedic genius! Love it. Hee hee. Leo got sleepy, and here I am now! Well there was some bonding time with Brittany in between too!

Today I went canoeing on Mirror lake. It was pleasant. Many interesting bits of wildlife. -fin-

On the first of august I bid Haley a fond farewell. I'll miss her. She is staying at here fathers in Monona... Ah well... I guess this leaves more time for friends... it has thus far. Today I met a friend named Blake. He is on of the most bizarre individuals that I have yet encountered. He is tall and skeletal... seeming so frail. his arms and legs are mere nails stuck in a dowel. His hair is quite unrefined and scraggly; dark and shiny like the hematite arrowhead necklace he wore... [that shattered on tiles] His voice reminded me greatly of my friend Mike E's. Flamboyant... pensive, skittish... Very kind, but in his own right a very hands on/take charge attitude... A personality that is best experienced yourself. Even if I were to take the time to describe in great length, you would still never get the whole picture.
Blake called me on the way to Poynette from Monona and asked if he could meet me today... When I got home, I took a quick shower and by the time I had finished, surely enough there he was... damp. While waiting for me to return, he took a dip in the lake. hehe We proceeded to walk around for a short while and talk. then later it was decided that we would walk Duke. We took the dogs to some trails in Poynette. The hard part was keeping duke still while we got gas. The trails sure were buggy, and Duke got muddy, but Blake didn't seem to care that there was a moist Lab in is car; A scared Poodle too. We got hungry, so we traveled to Rocky Rococo's Pizza and got some to go. When we arrived back at the house here, the dogs were exhausted, and we were chewed up: Blake and I ate our pizzas and then sat and chatted. I was hoping to get a fire going, But instead we sat down and watched Starship Troopers. Then we talked some more... Blake got tired and left at around 12:45AM. I truly enjoyed his quirkiness. but lord is he a tease.
I was expecting a phone call from Jimmy all night since we saw him on break at the food place... But he never called. SO i called him and he popped over at around 1:30AM with his Wii and we Smashed and chatted till about 5AM. I find myself oddly attracted to his... oddities as well. Maybe I'll see him later today... After all, Leo is camping... likely no one else will have any plans made with me.
[Despite being really eccentric, they are both quite lovable.
It just takes a little getting used to.]
~Did I Mention my father and Lisa were nowhere to be found from the time Blake and I left to walk the dogs at 6:00PM-ish till round 4:30AM? How odd. Gambling maybe...~

Today! Today was quite an interesting day! For starters I was up at around 7AM for the first time in quite a while! I went fishing up at Mirror Lake state park up in the Wisconsin Dells. The strange overcast mad the canoeing all the more tolerable. After all, six hours of paddling really gets tiresome. I hooked into a nine-ish inch bass, but it swam into a bunch of reeds and the hook came out... Lost it. Bum luck. later after that ordeal, I crashed on the 30 minute ride home and had some dreams. Thus the car ride felt like hours... the over cast and the wind didn't seem too promising. bit I went to Leo's and we started a fire. He got a Trampoline, interestingly enough. His father also grew Kohlrabi. It tasted like a cabbage heart mixed with a radish. hehe. It was He, Ethan, Brittany and I... then came over Jessa. For the first time in possibly all oh my life, I played horse shoes. It was fascinating, but difficult, as my right arm has major power control issues. After the game was done, Nick popped over. We cot some frozen custard, and we watched The School of Rock. Interesting movie... Hee hee, Leo fell asleep on the floor and we all sortied out in the darkness.

Today on the fourth, severe thunderstorms rolled on through. The power was knocked out from 6 to 8:30AM. Boy was the weather nasty! The rain lasted till 3:30PM... At which point, the lightning ended and the sky lightened... I felt it was safe to finally shower... hehe. I got a great deal of Star Trek done... that is for sure... Also: The other night Leo was kind enough to give me the first Sword of Truth novel. I cant wait to read it! After a long peach and amber gloaming, I finally got word from my buddy Jimmy. We sat around and chatted for a bit. it was nice! We decided it was imperative that we view some interesting internet comedy in the form of videos. After an hour of that, we went down stairs and chilled for a bit. after an hour more of contemplation and intimate bonding, we watched several episodes of the most bizarre and dirty anime, The Ping Pong Club Goes Too Far. Gosh it is just absurdity! By the time we had finished, the sun had come up, so we decided to take a trip to McDonald's for a fast-food breakfast! Mmm Mmm, Tasty. all in all, I had a great time hanging out! I' can see why some people would wan to disown or disassociate with James, for sure, but I like him. he is such an utterly cool guy underneath that awkward exterior.

Glee. I spent the Night at Leo's house. What an interesting amount of intimacy. We did quite a r bit of reading form his second grade journal. Hee hee! What a disturbed and lovable child. There was also lot of discussion. OOH! and Yahtzee! =D I rolled two! And pool. And bouncing sprinkled with off-colored humor. Did I mention all the while I was obtaining about 10GB of music?! No. No I didn't! Ohhhhh it was glorious! At around 1:30AM Leo and I took a magical trek to the Pine Cone truck stop for a delicious breakfast. I finally got my Eggs Benedict. Oh, and half a pound of fried cheese curds! Mmmm... It was a lovely breakfast started off with hot chocolate. The drive there and back made the breakfast all the more worth it. When we returned we played some Text Twist, and finished burning some music. We attempted to watch some of the Rounders but we both conked out. What a night.
